Defense Focus
DEFENSE FOCUS:

The defense can choose which area of the field to focus on defending.  Each defense personnel has four focus areas as follows...
  • Inside
  • Outside
  • Left
  • Right

If you notice their offense is being conservative then focus your defense to your left side in running situations and to your right side in passing situations. If their offense prefers passing to wide receivers then focus your defense to the outside.
LEFT vs RIGHT:
  • Focus to the defense's left to shut-down conservative runs and aggressive passes.
  • Focus to the defense's right to shut-down conservative passes and aggressive runs.
INSIDE vs OUTSIDE:
  • Focus inside to shut-down FB and QB runs; and HB passes.
  • Focus outside to shut-down WR and TE passes; and HB runs.
